Square and Square Root

Square of Number : A square is a number obtained by multiplying the number by itself. The square root of a number is the value that, when multiplied by itself, gives the original number. So, the square root of a square number will always be the original number itself. For example:

  • The square root of 9 is 3 because 3×3=9
  • The square root of 25 is 5 because 5×5=25

Example : Square of 10 – 10 = 10 x 10 = 100 Square of 25 – 25 = 25 x 25 = 625
